This evacuation exercise is designed to be as realistic as possible, featuring a realistic scenario! It focuses on a full evacuation of the business premises or a departmental evacuation. Various staging materials can be used, such as smoke, light effects, sounds, real fire, fake bombs, etc.
This exercise takes a maximum of 30 minutes out of business productivity.
After the exercise, the Vuurrood Veiligheid facilitators will conduct an on-site verbal evaluation with the emergency response team (BHV organization) to discuss areas for improvement.
The staff will be informed about the day or week of the exercise (but not the exact time). The exercise involves practical testing of the BHV evacuation plan, short training drills, specific sections of the workplace, and scenario-based practice. This evacuation exercise is as realistic as possible and is classified as a phase 2 (F2) exercise in terms of difficulty.
Includes:
- Two Vuurrood Veiligheid facilitators, supported by the present BHV team, BHV team leader, head of BHV, or prevention officer.
- Vuurrood Veiligheid certifies that this evacuation exercise was conducted in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
- Travel costs for two facilitators and scenario materials.
- After the exercise, the Vuurrood Veiligheid facilitators will immediately conduct an on-site verbal evaluation with the present BHV organization to address areas for improvement.
For this exercise, the Vuurrood Veiligheid evacuation facilitators will prepare in advance, supported by the BHV plan/Company Emergency Plan/Evacuation Plan provided beforehand
(as per Article 5 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act).
