A Child First Aid basic course is a specially designed training program focused on teaching First Aid skills specifically tailored to children. This course is intended for parents, caregivers, teachers, babysitters, and other adults responsible for the care of children.
Crucial aspects of First Aid for children also involve understanding the specific needs and responses of children in emergency situations. This includes instructions on how to perform CPR on a child, providing assistance in case of choking, and recognizing signs of allergies or other health issues.
If you already have a valid (less than 12 months old) Child First Aid certificate, you must enroll in our Child First Aid Refresher course.
Practical course day:
Before the Practical Training Day, all participants must first complete our E-Learning modules. These modules are accessible via our “digital safety environment” at digitaal.vuurroodbv.nl, where each participant receives personal login credentials. This e-learning platform, which is also available on smartphones, allows participants to build their knowledge and foundational skills in advance of the practical day. Through this online preparation, participants become familiar with the theory and gain insight into the core principles of the skills they will further develop in the SKILL carousel on the training day.
