In the Netherlands, various organizations set guidelines for courses aimed at improving lifestyle habits and caring for others, and they certify these courses. All reimbursements for courses generally follow the same basic guidelines, which recognize the improvement of lifestyle habits as an important factor in promoting health and well-being. The organizations that establish these standards ensure that the courses are of high quality and meet the necessary criteria for reimbursement.
First Aid (EHBO)
Many health insurers offer the possibility of reimbursement for a First Aid course within their supplementary insurance packages. However, it is important to note that each insurer defines its own specific reimbursement criteria, which may change over time. As a result, the reimbursement policies are not uniform across all providers. Furthermore, the eligibility for reimbursement depends on the specific supplementary insurance policy chosen by the insured and the related terms and conditions.
The following health insurers provide reimbursement for First Aid courses through certain supplementary insurance policies:
- CZ group: CZ, Just, OHRA, Nationale Nederlanden, CZ Direct.
- ONVZ group: ONVZ, PNOzorg, VvAA, Jaaah.
- Zorg en Zekerheid group: Zorg en Zekerheid, AZVZ.
Additionally, the following health insurers may offer reimbursement for First Aid courses under their supplementary insurance plans:
- VGZ group: VGZ, Univé, Zekur.nl, United Consumers, bewuzt, UMC, IZA, IZZ.
- DSW group: DSW, Stad Holland, inTwente.
- iptiQ group: National Academic, Promovendum, Besured.
- ENO group: Salland, ZorgDirect, HollandZorg.
- De Amersfoortse: Certain supplementary insurance policies from De Amersfoortse may also cover the cost of First Aid courses, subject to specific terms and conditions.
We strongly recommend checking the terms and conditions of your specific insurer for the most up-to-date information, as reimbursement options and requirements may vary and are subject to changes. It’s essential to verify whether your chosen supplementary insurance plan qualifies for reimbursement and to ensure you are aware of any modifications in policy coverage.
